UNEXPECTED HILLS
The project respond to the concept of transformation of a public space and of the material it is made of: ceramics. It physically and conceptually transform how the space and the material are perceived. The design subvert the ceramics character and change the way to use it: from a 2d to a 3d way of thinking.
Ceramics became an architectural medium who leads the space transformation through geometry, mathematics and pattern develpoment: the juxtaposition of freestanding triangles is the simple but effective leading idea of this project.
The installation on the pavement provides water and soil, the fundamentals of ceramics, but also light and music. The program is changing the space in a exhibition, recreation, resting, gathering and bicycle parking area.
